How to play Five-Second Panic

Add at least two players, choose Five-Second Panic and pass the phone to the named player. Start the five-second timer, read the prompt and name three matching answers out loud before time runs out.

How scoring works

After the timer finishes, award 3 for Nailed it, 2 for Good effort or 1 for Nice try. On one phone, press and hold Nailed it to choose a lower score. Pass earns zero. In linked rooms, the other players score privately and their votes are averaged.

A different category each turn

The deck includes prompts such as three things that float, three musical instruments you blow into and three reasons people clap. Prompt history is tracked within the session so the deck is used before it repeats.

Phones and TV

Use one shared phone or create a live linked room and invite friends with a code or QR link. The host can connect a TV browser as a shared display. There is no need for a separate timer or a physical deck.
